The Muhimbi URL Shortener (MuSH) makes it easy to share long and complex web addresses via email, verbally over the phone and social media platforms such as Twitter by reducing the number of characters from hundreds to just a handful.

Although similar in functionality to publicly available services such as TinyURL and bit.ly, MuSH has specifically been designed with enterprises in mind by providing functionality such as:
- Tight integration with SharePoint.
- Compatible with all web based applications and intranets.
- Improved security by keeping all URLs within the boundaries of the company network.
- Generated URLs are case insensitive and ambiguous characters such as i, 1, I, l, 0, o and O are not used to make it easier to communicate the URLs verbally.
- Users can specify their own Short URL Name.
- URL Shortener functionality can be accessed from SharePoint Workflows as well as as via external Web Service calls.

A flexible licensing model
Not all SharePoint environments are created equal. To keep our software affordable for small organisations with a single SharePoint Server, while still being able to provide support for larger organisations with dozens of SharePoint servers across multiple locations, the following license types are available.
- Server License: Allows the software to be used on a single server. Purchase a copy for each server the product is used on.
- Enterprise License: Allows the software to be used on an unlimited number of servers in the organisation.
- OEM License: Allows the software to be embedded in another solution and redistributed.
- OEM + Source code License: Simmilar to the OEM License, but with the right to access / modify the source code.
All licenses include 1 year of support during which all upgrades are free. The support contract can be renewed after this period expires. When the contract is not renewed you can continue to use any version that was released before the expiry of the contract. An active roadmap
We are continuously improving the solution and provide several new releases a year with a focus on:
- Full SharePoint 2010 support
- Adding new languages including Spanish, Russian and Hebrew.

Hardware Requirements
The following hardware is recommended as a minimum for each Web Front End Server:
